    Mr. Reggie Gasque

My name is Reggie Gasque.  I was born in Horry County and have lived here my entire life.  I grew up here in Aynor and I now reside in Myrtle Beach.  As a child I was a student at Aynor area schools until I graduated from Aynor High School in 1988.  I went on to attend USC-Coastal Carolina to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education in 1993.  I taught third grade at Horry Elementary School for three years before moving to Aynor Elementary in 1997 when our schools consolidated.  I continued teaching third grade until I was appointed Assistant Principal at AES in 2003; a position I held for one year.  I was appointed principal at Pee Dee Elementary in Conway in June 2004 and remained there for two years until returning to Aynor Elementary as principal in July 2006.  I feel like I’m home.  It means a great deal to me to work each day with a staff that loves and cares for children the way this staff does.  They honor our traditions that have made Aynor Elementary so unique, but yet continue to grow through staff development and trainings so that they may provide our students with the education they so richly deserve.

    Mrs. Lora Tyler

    Assistant Principal

My name is Lora Tyler; and let me begin by saying I feel very blessed to be at Aynor Elementary School.  I was born in Horry County, and I have lived here my entire life.  I grew up in Longs and graduated from Loris High School in 1989.  I have been happily married for over 20 years and have two wonderful teenage children.  I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from USC-Coastal Carolina in 1993.  I taught 7th grade at North Myrtle Beach Middle School for four years.  In 1999, I earned a Masters plus 30 in School Psychology from Francis Marion University and became a school psychologist for Horry County Schools.  I have served all levels as a school psychologist throught HCS.  In 2009 I became a Special Education Coordinator and supervised the school psychologists throughout the district.  I completed a second Master’s Degree in School Administration/Leadership in the spring of 2015 from Coastal Carolina University.

I am passionate about students being successful, and I feel my mission is to use my leadership skills to enhance student outcomes at Aynor Elementary School.  I believe that AES is the perfect match for me as we share the same small-town, community values and educational ideals.
