International Baccalaureate

The IB Diploma Program is designed for students in their last two years of high school.  Students have the opportunity to earn a South Carolina high school diploma while working to meet the requirements for the IB diploma.  The IB Diploma Program is a challenging and rigorous curriculum leading to a qualification that is widely recognized by leading universities in the United States and in the world.  All highly motivated and high performing students who complete the advanced recommended courses are given the opportunity to participate in the IB Diploma Program. 

 

Aynor High School became an IB school in 2001 and began awarding its first IB diplomas in 2006.  Aynor High School has continued to exceed academic milestones by surpassing the state's SAT average by ranking 2nd in the state in 2008.  Former AHS IB students have attended prestigious colleges and universities across the nation, and Aynor High School continues to strive for academic excellence in all program areas.
