  • Greetings Lion Family!

It is with great pleasure, excitement, and gratitude that I welcome you all back to a new school year as your newly appointed Principal of Loris High School. As a native of the Loris community and a graduate of Loris High School, I am honored and thankful to embark upon this journey of leading a school that possesses such great staff, students, parents, and community.

I come to you with 17 years of experience as an educator. During this time, I taught business education, worked as a behavior specialist, coached football, basketball, track, and soccer. I began my journey in administration in 2012 as an Assistant Principal and I most recently served as the Principal of SOAR Academy for the past four years. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Georgia Southern University and a Master of Education in Administration from Grand Canyon University. I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University.

During my transition, I plan to work with the current administrative team to ensure a smooth transition and familiarize myself with the unique needs of Loris High School. I firmly believe in building positive and edifying relationships with staff, students, parents, and community stakeholders. We will continue to educate the whole child by preparing students for college, careers, and life after graduation.

I consider education to be a lifelong process and again I am excited to begin this journey with such an amazing school community that is centered around family values. I look forward to working with you and welcome your input. I believe parent and community involvement is vital to the success of students and I encourage you to be involved in every way possible. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have throughout the year. We are Lions and we will continue to achieve excellence!

    Respectfully,

     Jimmy McCullough
