Hi, I am Anna Cavin. I am starting my second year of teaching after spending my first year in Greenville South Carolina at Brashier Middle College. After graduating from St. James in 2015 I went on to Coastal Carolina University where I received a Master of Arts in Teaching: Social Studies. I will be a part of the Social Studies Department teaching Government and Economics. I will also be coaching JV girls basketball. I am so excited to be back at St. James as a teacher and coach and cannot wait for the school year!

Hi, I am Kimberly Edwards-Glover I am in the Science Department here at SJHS. I am originally from Eastern NC. I have 4 children, 2 dogs, 3 cats, and a fish. Yep, I stay busy.

In my share time I enjoy shopping for antiques, horseback riding, and traveling. As long as I can remember I have wanted to be a teacher. The classroom is my 2^nd home and I enjoy every minute of it.

My name is Karri Hitt. This is my 14th year teaching. I spent 9 years teaching in WV before I moved here. I've been at St. James Middle School for the past 4 years. This is my first year at St. James High School. I graduated from Concord University in Athens, WV with a BS is secondary math education and received my MA in Instructional Design and Technology from West Virginia University. Born in Del Rio, Texas in 1964 to a young Air Force couple, I grew up traveling around this extraordinary country of ours. With over twenty moves under my belt, I can safely say that I am so happy to be back in Horry County. I attended Socastee High School for 1.5 years while my dad was stationed here and before moving to Louisiana. My graduate degree is a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Centenary College. My undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Arts in French from Louisiana Tech University with an independent study at L'Universite de Liege, Belgium. Right after college, I taught English to students at seven different schools in Japan through the JET program and then taught in Louisiana for 10 years at all levels of school. I look forward to teaching French at St. James High School. I have one daughter who just turned nineteen and is living in Tampa, Florida. She is working and enjoying life...with mom's credit card! I love to scuba dive, travel, and learn about other cultures.

My name is Tianna Sparks and I am super excited to join the shark family as the new Visual Arts Teacher! This will be my 4th year in education and my 1st year teaching at St. James High School. Born and raised in New Hampshire skiing and hiking, I moved to Horry County for a change in scenery and am absolutely loving it so far. I have truly enjoyed spending time soaking up the sun at the beach with my family. In New Hampshire, I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education (K-12) with a minor in Art History and Photography at Plymouth State University. Since then, it has been a pleasure building positive relationships with every student I encounter and being able to witness their creativity flow through every artwork they create. I can't wait to begin sharing my passion for and knowledge of the visual arts with the next generation of artists here at St. James.
