The Carolina Forest Math Department consists of 15 teachers that work together to prepare students not only for college, but also to be productive citizens. Many of our math teachers hold AP certification, which allows our students to earn college credits while in a high school setting. Students are required to earn four math credits before graduating high school and we encourage them to take at least one math class each year. In the past, we have found students taking a math class each year have improved their SAT/ACT scores as their skills remain current. To individualize their education, the math department offers options for each student by offering math courses on three different levels: Technical, College Prep, and Honors.

Our goal as a math department is to work together to provide the best education for our students as we recognize them as our leaders of tomorrow.
