  • Miss Kelly’s Rockin’ Readers competed in a spring break challenge!

Posted by Sandra Causey on 4/23/2019

The goal was to be the person with the most completed Achieve 3,000 articles making a 75% or better.  Even the students who were unable to use WiFi were credited for reading and writing a summary of their book. Congratulations to Javaughn Green, Krista Robinson, and Ben Jennings for coming in first with 21, second with 20, and third place with 19! Wow, Miss Kelly is proud!

    SC State Assessments

    SCREady: Grades 3-5

    (ELA, Writing, & Math)

     May 9th , 10th , & 14th

    SC PASS: Grades 4 & 5

    (Science & Social Studies)

    May 15th

    Things you need to know:

Testing will begin at 7:50 for all grades.  The assessments are untimed and typically take several hours.

    Most assessments will be computer-based

Make up testing will be May 16-June 5

    Additional Information:

    • Students may not be in possession of any electronic device(s) that can be used for communicating, timing, creating images, or storing images. These devices will be collected and returned after each test session is completed.
    • Please do not schedule doctor appointments and other out-of-school functions during testing hours.
    • PLEASE have your child at school on time on their test days. If your child arrives later than 7:40 he/she will not be allowed to enter their classroom if testing has started.  Your child will then take their test on one of the make-up session dates with someone other than their homeroom teacher.  We appreciate your understanding and help.

    Thank You!!
