This $1,000 scholarship is made available by the Moving Forward Carolina Foundation. Funds are presented directly to the eligible senior selected.

Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union and Horry Telephone Cooperative, Inc. Scholarship :DUE 3-3-25
Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union and Horry Telephone Cooperative, Inc. (HTC) are partnering to offer two scholarship awards to graduating high school seniors from Horry, Georgetown, Marion, Williamsburg, and the southern part of Florence County.  Two $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors seeking a four-year degree from either Coastal Carolina University or Francis Marion University.  Additionally, the application can be found here, on Carolina Trust's website.

THE JAMES ALAN COX FOUNDATION Scholarship : DUE 11-15-24

NCWIT Aspirations in Computing High School Award: DUE 10-29-24
The NCWIT Aspirations in Computing (AiC) High School Award honors 9th - 12th grade women, genderqueer, and non-binary students for their computing-related achievements and interests, and encourages them to pursue their passions. Award recipients are selected based on their aptitude and aspirations in technology and computing, as demonstrated by their computing experience, computing-related activities, leadership experience, tenacity in the face of barriers to access, and future plans. Joye Law Firm's Annual Scholarship:
Our firm will offer six $2,000 scholarships to graduating seniors in South Carolina who plan to attend a four-year institution of higher learning in the fall. Selection of the recipients is based on the creative entry, school activities, positions of leadership, special honors and awards, community involvement, academic performance, and professional pursuits.

Optimist International Youth Scholarship Contest
The Myrtle Beach Grand Strand Optimist Club, on behalf of Optimist International is thrilled to announce our 2024 college scholarship contests. Our scholarships can be used at the university, college and/or trade schools of the winners choice. Attached is a short synopsis of each of the contests.
ESSAY CONTEST - The topic is “Optimism: How It Connects Us”, and it is a 700-800 word essay
$2500 goes to the one (1) winner of our South Carolina Optimist District in 2024.
ORATORICAL CONTESTS – The topic is “How to Change the World with Optimism”, and it is a 4-5 minute public speaking contest on this subject.
$22,500, $17,500, $12,500, $2500, $1500 and $1000 are the 2024 college scholarships Optimist International, through our local Myrtle Beach Grand Strand Optimist Club is offering to the winners of our District, Regional and World Oratorical Contests in 2024.
Communication Contest For The Deaf and Hard of Hearing - The topic is “How to Change the World with Optimism”, and it is a 4-5 minute public presentation on this subject.
$2500 goes to the one (1) winner of our South Carolina Optimist District in 2024.

HCHEC PERSEVERANCE SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is awarded annually to Horry County high school graduates who plan to attend Coastal Carolina University who have persevered through hardship and/or adversity. Award Amount: $2,500 annually for up to four years or eight semesters (renewal criteria must be met annually). Recipients must be enrolled full-time at Coastal Carolina University.

American Legion Baseball Scholarship
AWARD Amounts: Application/Information
Department Baseball Scholarship Winners receive $500.
Eight players selected by a scholarship selection committee at The American Legion World Series will receive an additional $2,500 scholarship.
A ninth player, selected as the most outstanding member of the All-Academic Team, will be awarded an additional $5,000 scholarship.
All-Academic Team winners will retain their $500 scholarship from their department.
