Elliott Receives the Beach Ball Classic Scholarship

  • Congratulations to Grace Elliott for being chosen as the Beach Ball Classic Scholarship recipient for Green Sea Floyds High School! Grace will receive a $1,000 scholarship for being a student-athlete that has shown perseverance on and off the field through multi-sport competition while maintaining strong academic success. Way to go Grace! 

Elliott Chosen as the GSFH 2020 Most Outstanding Senior

  • Grace Elliott has been chosen by the Conway Chamber of Commerce as Green Sea Floyds High School's Most Outstanding Senior for the Class of 2020. Congratulations Grace!

Power Team Members Advance to State

  • The GSF Trojan Power Team competed in the Regional Meet at South Florence last Thursday. Dan Johnson qualified in the 140 lb class, Ryan Elliott qualified in the 220 lb class, Devin Arthur qualified in the 260 lb class, and Xavier Edwards qualified in the Varsity Unlimited class for the state meet. Congratulations to these young men!

Rookie Teachers of the Year

  • This year, Horry County Schools has implemented a new initiative called "Rookie Teacher of the Year." This initiative recognizes exemplary teachers new to the teaching profession who have demonstrated excellence in the classroom and represent the district's vision and core values. We proudly announce that the Green Sea Floyds Middle School "Rookie of the Year" for 2019-2020 is Courtney Willoughby, and the Green Sea Floyds High School "Rookie of the Year" for 2019 -2020 is Chloe Jones. Congratulations to you both!

Teachers of the Year

  • Congratulations to our 2019-2020 Teachers of the Year! Kyle Klebba was chosen as the high school representative, and Christian Huggins was chosen as the middle school representative.

All-State Chorus

  • Congratulations to Juan Arias Vega for being selected to participate in the 2020 SC All-State Chorus! He will be spending 3 days in March at Winthrop University performing with students from all over the state. This is the highest honor for a high school choral singer in our state and is a major accomplishment for Juan!

Varsity Football Crowned the Class A State Champions Again!

  • Congratulations to the Varsity Football Team for their victory over Ridge Spring-Monetta Friday, December 6th to clinch the State Class A Football Championship! 

Cross Country State Meet

Academic Team Finishes Fourth

  • Congratulations to the Academic Team for placing fourth at the Horry County Academic Olympics held on Saturday, November 16th!

Middle School Robotics Team Wins Award 

  • Congratulations to the MS Robotics Team for winning the Judges “Against All Odds” Award at the Horry Qualifier on Saturday, Nov 9th.  This award goes to the team that improvises and overcomes a difficult situation while still making a respectable showing, with an attitude that shows, “We can overcome incredible odds if we never give up, no matter what!”

Skeet Team Excels at the Conference Competition

  • GSFH Fall Skeet Team took 1st Place in the 1A Conference competition. Grayson Elliott placed 2nd in the Individual High Average 1A Conference with Elijah Herrington taking 3rd Place. Congratulations to the Trojans Skeet Team and Coach Zach Boyer!
