Over the break, the North Myrtle Beach High School Robotics Team participated, for the first time ever, in the PeachTree District Championship in Macon, GA. The team made it to playoffs, and finished in 4th place overall. Congratulations to the team on a very successful year and making school history. A very special congratulations to the seniors that will be graduating: Elissa Zamrik, Jessica Nugyen, Iman Najib, Kaden Higgins, & Sean Bauer.

HOSA - Biomedical Debate Team won 4th place at the State Leadership Conference today! We are very proud of these students, please congratulate them when you see them!    Our Team Members include:  Annadora Fowler, Ashtyn Peters, Amanda Walp, Brianna Zamrick 


NEHS will have its monthly meeting on Wednesday, April 17th at 3:30 in room E111. Members are expected to attend.

FCA meets on Friday mornings at 7:40 in the auditorium.  

Tree Huggers - School Recycling Club will meet every Tuesday in Room H201 at 3:25.  Earn Community Service Hours!


The last day to purchase a yearbook online was April 13th. #10724  We should have a few books available for purchase in late May. 

ATTENDANCE MAKE-UP Saturday school will be April 27th, May 4th, and May 18th from 8:00 am-12:00 pm. All students must bring something to work on and a charged device. Doors will be locked at 8:00 am. Any questions see Mr. Mundy or Mrs. Chandler

Any junior or senior playing, coaching, or cheering in the upcoming Powderpuff game MUST go by Mrs. Brown’s office in guidance and get the forms outside her office completed and turned in by Friday.

Attention Junior boys!  American Legion Auxiliary Palmetto Boys State is coming soon!  This incredible experience is a weeklong program this summer designed to immerse you in a real, functioning government, in the mythical State of Palmetto! If you are interested in Leadership, Government or being part of something greater... Be sure to stop by the counseling office and pick up your application today.  Applications are due Thursday.

NMBHS has a new school store: The Chief Outpost. The store will be located in G101 and should be up and running in just a few weeks. The store will house a variety of items such as school supplies, creative art, NMBH clothing, and many other items. Thank you to Ms. Holloman and all others who pushed for this new addition to NMBHS. We are positive it will be a huge success. An official ribbon cutting ceremony will be held when the store is set to officially open. Stay tuned for more information. 

The First Annual NMBHS Dodgeball Tournament will be held this Friday, April 12th from 9:15-10:45 AM in the Gym. Team Sign-Ups to play are now closed! Tickets to come and watch are $5 and will be sold at break all this week. Buy your ticket and you get out of class to watch dodgeball for an hour!

Attendance make-up resumes on Tue/Thur after school 3:30-4:30 pm. 

Any current freshman interested in being a part of the athletic department, by taking over as Student Assistant to the Athletic Director, starting next school year, please see Shaw Ashley or Coach Heilbronn for more information.

Anybody interested in traveling to the Mediterranean coast (Spain, Italy, and France) Mrs. Ortuno will be conducting a virtual meeting on March 21st at 6 pm. Please see Mrs. Ortuno at room K 209 for more information. 

Seniors - see the yearbook staff or Mrs. Holloman to pre-order your senior group picture. $10 for the 8x10 photo.

Prom tickets will go on sale Monday, February 12.  Tickets will be $25 from February 12- March 1.  Prom tickets may only be purchased by Juniors and Seniors.  Visit and create an account. Then use your student ID# to access a page to purchase your prom tickets. Prom tickets will increase at the following rates, so purchase early.  If you have a guest who does not attend this school and this is not their base school, you must complete a guest form and return it to Mrs. Chestnut by March 29. Guest forms were emailed to you and are in the front office magazine rack. If you have any questions, feel free to email Mrs. Chestnut.

Graduation is scheduled for June 5th at 7 pm at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.

Free tutoring is available Tuesdays and Thursdays in the mini auditorium 3:30 - 4:30. You don't need to sign up, just show up.

There will be a preseason/interest meeting for any girls interested in playing golf next year on Thursday April 18th in the cafeteria at 5:30pm.  If you have any questions, please see Coach Hilburn in room K212.

Please join the NMBHS Track Team will be having a fundraiser at Chick-fil-A on Thursday, April 11 from 5-7 pm.  Be sure to mention NMBHS Track Team at checkout or if placing a mobile order, select, “Support Community Care Event” before checking out. GO CHIEFS!

Any girl interested in basketball is invited to attend skill development workouts every Tuesday and Thursday in April from 5:00-6:00 pm beginning April 9th. All are welcome! Please see Coach Kearney in room J205 with any questions.

The athletic department is looking for a current Freshman or Sophomore who would be interested in serving as the Student Assistant to the Athletic Director, starting next school year. This is a volunteer role and would be ideal for a student planning to major in Education or Sports Administration in college. Forms can be found in the front office magazine rack or in Coach Heilbronn's office. If you have any questions, please see Shaw Ashley or Coach Heilbronn.
