HCS announces school-level Teachers of the Year
In Horry County Schools’ annual Teacher of Year recognition program, school-level winners are selected by their peers to represent their school and to be considered for the HCS Teacher of the Year. School-level winners will be recognized at a reception on Thursday, November 9, at the District Office at 3:30 p.m.

From the school-level winners, 10 semifinalists will be announced on January 24, 2018. The Top 10 semifinalists will be interviewed by the Teacher of the Year Selection Committee and five finalists will be named on March 2. Members of the Selection Committee will complete classroom observations for all finalists and the District winner will be announced at the annual Teacher of the Year Banquet scheduled for May 1 at the Myrtle Beach Marriott at Grand Dunes at 6 p.m.
