HCS announces 247 South Carolina Junior Scholars
Identified for their exceptional academic talents, 247 Horry County Schools eighth-grade students have been named South Carolina Junior Scholars.
Students were selected based on their performance on the PSAT/NMSQT or by recognition from Duke University’s Talent Identification Program (TIP). South Carolina Junior Scholars met at least one of three requirements: attained a score of 550 or higher on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing portion of the PSAT/NMSQT; attained a score of 530 or higher on the Mathematics portion of the PSAT/NMSQT; or met requirements and participated in Duke University’s TIP during seventh-grade and were invited to attend State or Grand Recognition Ceremonies.
