AHS ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR 6/1/22
The Aynor FFA Tool Identification competed recently in Lexington. This team also won another STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. The top scorer in the state was Jesse Johnson. Other team members were Matthew Calhoun, Ethan Buffkin, and Devin Sander. Congratulations to the Aynor FFA for this state championship!
The Aynor FFA Forestry team competed in Columbia recently. They won another STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. The top scorer in the state was Jesse Johnson and Morgan Cook placed third in the state. Other team members were Railey Benton and Riley Atkinson. They won the right to represent South Carolina in Indianapolis in October at the National FFA Convention. Way to go Aynor FFA!
The state champion Aynor FFA Soil team recently traveled to Oklahoma to compete against 180 teams from across the nation. The team once again defeated all the teams from North and South Carolina. They traveled through Dallas and visited the Murrow Bombing site in Oklahoma City as well as visiting 9 different states on their journey. Jesse Johnson led the team with the top score. Other team members were Riley Atkinson, Railey Benton, and Morgan Cook.
The Aynor FFA WHEP team (Wildlife Habitat Evaluation Program) finished 2nd in the state recently. The team had to evaluate an area for wildlife habitat, identify wildlife and then make recommendations. Andrew Powell was the top scorer in the state, Wyatt Vaught placed 2nd in the state and Ethan Buffkin placed 3rd in the state. Congratulations to this team for their great effort!
The FFA Blue Jacket Envirothon team recently competed in the State Envirothon Competition. They placed second in the state, including winning the current issue section. Team members were Morgan Cook, Jesse Johnson, Railey Benton, Mason King, and Ethan Buffkin. Congratulations on this great showing!

June 2nd – Graduation Practice @ 6:00 pm in the Gymnasium
June 3rd – Graduation @ 7:00 pm on the football field. Seniors must arrive and report to the AHS Gymnasium by 6:00 pm. Do not be late. Dress Code: Underneath their cap & gown, seniors may wear shorts and a short sleeve (collared shirt for boys) since we are having an outside graduation and it will be more than likely hot. Closed-toed shoes are required. There will be NO flip flops or sandals allowed. (Girls: the white collar provided in your senior supplies should be attached to your gown prior to arriving at school for the graduation ceremony).
