AHS ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR 1/16/19
All members of the Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society need to meet at the front of the building tomorrow during 1st break for their yearbook picture.
Student Council will meet during lunch tomorrow in Coach Kaye’s room.
Attention students who are graduating in January: Please return your parking pass to Mrs. Vickers before your last day.
Any boy interested in playing tennis needs to attend a meeting in Mr. Frazzini’s room Friday during break.
The girls’ soccer team will be hosting a spaghetti dinner fundraiser Friday, Jan. 18th from 4:30-7:00 pm. Each ticket cost $5.00. We will start serving food at 4:30 pm in the AHS cafeteria and offer an option for to go boxes if you are unable to stay. For tickets in advance see any member of the girls’ soccer team, or come to the front office before Friday. We will also sell tickets at the door.
Juniors have the opportunity to apply for the Technical Scholars Welding Program. The program is designed for high school seniors. Interested juniors can see Ms. Gordon in guidance office for more information. Interested individuals must talk with someone in guidance before Feb. 4th to be included in a tour of this program at Horry Georgetown Technical College.
Attention students and staff: Anyone interested in participating in the 2019 Freezin’ for a Reason Polar Plunge, please stop by Mrs. Mendez’s or Mr. Davenport’s classroom. This is a fundraiser for Special Olympics. Join in on the fun and plunge!
Prom tickets are on sale for $25.00 for the month of January. Please see Mrs. Thomas in room B103 by the Spanish hallway to purchase. Any students that need a dance guest form needs to see Mrs. Thomas.
JV & varsity Boys’ soccer regular tryouts will begin Monday, Jan. 28th. All physicals must be in Arbiter by that date.
Any girl interested in playing soccer: We will continue to have preseason workouts Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday after school until 5:30 pm. Tryouts begin on Jan. 28th at 4:00 pm. You must have a completed physical on file in Planet High School to participate. If you have any questions see Coach Kaye or Coach Altman.
Any student interested in being involved in softball please report to the weight room on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 4:15 pm for conditioning. This includes B-Team, JV, and Varsity.
Any students in grades 9-12 interested in trying out for baseball: Baseball tryouts will begin on Jan. 28th at 4:00 pm on the baseball field. You must have all info and a completed physical uploaded in planet high school.
