Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

We appreciate everyone's patience with traffic in advance.  Ensuring that every child gets to school and home safely, as well as in the correct manner, takes a team and we appreciate your support!

We will begin unloading cars at 6:45.  If your child would like to eat breakfast, please have him or her to school by 7:15.

Transportation changes will be taken up to 1:00 each day. Please contact Kendall Ward in the front office.  All transportation changes will need to be in writing.  No transportation changes will be made after 1:00.

At dismissal, if your child is a car rider, please display your BES hangtag until you have moved through the entire car rider line and have picked-up your child.  The BES specific hangtag ensures safety and speed as families move through the car rider line.

Early sign-outs will be taken up to 2:10 each day.  After this time, students begin moving for dismissal and no early sign-outs will be allowed unless an emergency.

Families who have children at Burgess Elementary and Saint James Intermediate will need to plan to drive through both car rider lines.  Students MAY NOT walk between Burgess Elementary and Saint James Intermediate.

Also, please avoid leaving spaces between cars when getting in line. Please do not save places for other cars to pull in the line at a later time and remember that we are a tobacco free campusso smoking is not allowed.

We appreciate your help!

Burgess Spirit Night at Saint James High School

Burgess Elementary night at the St. James High School football game is Friday, August 23rd at 7:30.  All BES students will be admitted into the game  for free.  Please wear your BES shirt!
