HCS Announces Winners of the Attendance Awareness Poster Contest

The poster contest was created to bring awareness about why school attendance matters in our schools as consistent school attendance is critical for student achievement. All winners received gifts and the three grand prize winners from each group received a $100 gift card and their posters may be used in ads promoting school attendance. The 2nd place winners from each group received a $40 gift card and 3rd place winners from each group received a $20 gift card.

Congratulations to the following students who were selected as the winners of the HCS Attendance Awareness Poster Contest, which was held for students in grades K-8:

Grade K-3 Category

1st k-3
1st place – Alexandria Johnson, Ocean Drive Elementary
2nd k-3
2nd place – Stella Prince, Ocean Drive Elementary
3rd place – Lawson Judy, Forestbrook Elementary

Grades 4-5 Category

Grades 6-8 Category

1st place – Ava Midkiff, Socastee Middle
