St. James High’s Pipkin Jones receives FCCLA National Spirit of Advising Award

Pipkin Marissa Pipkin Jones, a Family and Consumer Science teacher at St. James High School, is one of only 58 teachers in the United States chosen to receive the 2020 National Spirit of Advising Award from the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). The award recognizes chapter advisors who are constantly faithful and who often work quietly behind the scenes to ensure student success. Pipkin Jones was noted for her use of humor, flexibility, and professional skills as a chapter advisor.

Pipkin Jones will be recognized during the FCCLA’s 2020 National Leadership Conference, which will be held virtually this year on July 7-9. There are 6,000 FCCLA chapters throughout the nation.
