The Environmental Systems Research Institute (Esri), the industry-leading developer of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) software, holds a monthly challenge for teachers to showcase their hard work and creativity using ArcGIS Online to engage students in meaningful ways.
Evan Sellers teaches two courses on GIS at the Academy for Arts, Science & Technology. He won the Esri K-12 ArcGIS Online Teacher of the Month Challenge for September 2022. Participants must submit a short video showing how they use ArcGIS Online in their classrooms. Winners receive $500 and work with ESRI to produce a 3-minute video about their story.
