Congratulations to Dylan McClain (pictured right), a Myrtle Beach High School senior and a cadet in the school’s Navy JROTC! He recently traveled to Provo, Utah, to compete in the 2023 Navy JROTC Air Rifle Championship.
Cadet McClain participated in the “sporter” category of the competition, which has participants shoot from prone, kneeling, and standing positions. His performance will allow him to advance to the JROTC Air Rifle National Championship, which is hosted by the Civil Marksmanship Program (CMP) and will take place on March 23-25 at the Gary Anderson CMP Competition Center in Port Clinton, Ohio.
McClain recently enlisted in the Army National Guard as a Combat Medic, and he hopes to take his talents to the FBI and serve as a SWAT team member.
