Mike Frederick has been hired as the new Executive Director of Safety and Security for Horry County Schools.

With over 30 years of law enforcement/public safety experience, Mr. Frederick most recently served as the Chief of Law Enforcement for the South Carolina Public Service Authority for 10 years and was a former Police Chief for the Town of Surfside Beach. He holds a Master of Criminal Justice degree from the University of South Carolina and is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy.
