Ceron receives Teacher of Promise Award

HCS teacher of promise Rebekah Ceron of the Academy for the Arts, Science & Technology received the Teacher of Promise Award from the South Carolina Foreign Language Teacher Association during the association’s annual conference held March 21-23. Ceron teaches Spanish at the Academy.

The Teacher of Promise Award recognizes teachers who are within the first three years of their career, who show great promise of being an outstanding teacher and leader in world language education. Award winners have demonstrated effective teaching strategies, have developed a positive rapport with students, and have accepted leadership responsibilities that go above and beyond assigned duties.
